Welcome 2015

And here's one expressing how shocked I am 2014 is almost over:

Happy New Years Eve everybody!! 2015 is literally a few hours away, so I thought I would do the last blog post of 2014! This year, my friends and I are going to ring in the new year with dinner and some Snowflake Lane sighting. For those of you who have never been to Seattle, Snowflake Lane is a huge holiday tradition, where people gather to watch fake snow fall from the sky, live toy solider drummers, and snow princesses along the streets.

For this evenings activities, I have chosen a simple, minimalist dress and a black leather tuxedo coat on top. I paired that with some gold metallic shoes and a sparkly headband, because who doesn't wear sparkles to a New Years party?! Hope everyone has a fun and safe night!

Socks and Skirts

{Sweater: Macy's, Skirt: Nordstrom Rack, Jacket: Macy's, Boots: Sam Edelman, Socks: Old Navy}

School and swim have been very hectic lately, but I am happy to say I will be blogging more frequently now that I have worked out a schedule! :)  Also, I will be announcing some huge news about this blog in a couple weeks so stay tuned!
It is safe to say that I am a skirts and dresses kind of gal.  Unfortunately, here in Seattle, it is quite chilly because we have some powerful winds.  The most common way of 'winterizing' skirts and dresses is by throwing on some tights or leggings... anyone bored of doing that? I most definitely am! So another cute way to wear your skirts and dresses without baring your whole leg is to put on some knee or thigh high socks.  It keeps most of your leg covered, and looks tres chic.  I wore the socks with my ankle boots because I wanted to show how wearing tall socks does not mean you have to wear tall boots with them.  In fact, you could wear flats if you really wanted to (click here for a visual).

Fall Sickness

{Top: American Eagle, Skirt: F21, Shoes: Nordstrom, Bag: Mom's Closet, Scarf: Nordstrom BP}

Happy Sunday afternoon ladies! For all the Washingtonians out there reading this, who else is missing their scarves and boots?! I am!! Lately in Seattle the weather has still been warm and nice out, resembling Spring like weather.

This outfit is my way of breaking out my sweater, scarf, and boots without overheating under the sun. Baring some legs help to keep cool, as does the wide knitted sweater.  I love how this look has a fall vibe to it with the color palette, but still works in the barely cold days.

This outfit is also very easy to recreate for those of you who love it as much as I do!

What do you think? Comment down below your thoughts!

Nope.

Looking through endless Pinterest boards of street style and reading street style blogs everyday can really influence how you dress.  Take it from me.  Aside from just being trendy, street style is about being a little unexpected, showing a little personality, and looking a whole lot cool.  You know what I mean, the girls and guys who walk down the streets looking like they own them... and they definitely could with that outfit!

Well whatever or whoever inspires you, make sure you love the way you look!

Trending for Fall: Turtlenecks

{All images from Google Images}

Turtlenecks. What more is there to say? I mean they are cozy, warm, and chunky enough to hide the extra pounds from the buttery fall foods. As someone who always wraps on a scarf to brave the cold,
the turtleneck trend is definitely on point for me. But besides the obvious practical reasons, the turtleneck is a must have this fall for its versatility. You can pair it with a skirt, pants, jeans, even layer a dress on top. I for one love the turtleneck. What do you think? Do you love it or leave it?

Love the turtleneck trend? Check out the options divided by price down below!

Amazon- $24.99, Aritzia- $165, Acne- $300, La Garconne- $450, Brunello Cucinelli- $2,685

Can't Miss The Florals

{Shirt: Train Station in Rome, Shorts: Thrifted, Denim Vest: Forever 21, Sunglasses: American Eagle}

If you have probably noticed, I don't exactly wear floral all that much. And if you looked in my closet, you probably would see two fully floral items...including this pair of shorts. Mostly my closet consists of stripes, grey, black, white, cream, and navy. Yeah its a little colorless. But after spotting these shorts at my local thrift store, I knew I had to have them and the colorful inspiration they gave me.

So will I be shopping for more colorful items? Maybe, if they all look as great as these shorts.

Do you like floral? Let me know what you think about the popular pattern in the comments below!

1 Skirt 2 Ways: Paris Edition

{Top: This one store in Rome, Skirt: Unknown, Bag: Mom's closet, Shoes: Birkenstocks}

Yes I know what you are all thinking, and yes it is the same skirt.

Between the two posts, you can tell this skirt is very versatile despite its bright print.  It can be paired with a light sweater as seen here, or with a bralette to show some skin as shown in the previous post.

Now to the exciting part! Drum rolllll. These pictures were taken in PARIS! As most of you know from my Instagram I was in Europe last April and had a blast! Don't worry more Europe pictures will be incorporated onto this blog.  In the mean time enjoy this view of the Arc de Triomphe, the colorful macaroons, and the iconic Eiffel Tower (I visited both places in the same day)

Loving It

{Denim Vest: Forever 21, Skirt: Unknown, Shoes: Unknown, Hat: DSW, Top: Abercrombie}

When the sun comes out and the temperature rises, I find myself in a bit of slump. This "slump" is hard one to break, and I think everyone is guilty of it especially during the days the temperature hits 90!  I know what you're thinking- "Those Seattle people! They complain when its too cold and when its too hot! There is no pleasing them!" And there really isn't.

So back to my slump. This slump is one where finding something to wear other than a plain tank top and shorts becomes quite difficult.  The sun just soaks the energy right out of me! And lets get real, all we ever do during summer is stay home aside from the occasional outing to the ice cream shop.

Today I write in honor of the ending of this "slump."  Recently I have been inspired to put myself together and remember why I loved fashion and blogging in the first place.  And boy do I love it!

P.S. Thanks bestie for these amazing pics! <3
