The Bomber Jacket

{Balmin, Johnny Cota, Marc Jacobs, Tracy Reece}

Hello ladies! Fashion week has been filled with amazing new Fall trends, but for those of us who are not lucky enough to sit front row at the shows, we can still look forward to the new Spring attire in the stores!

From my endless hours of scrolling through Pinterest to the insane amount of window shopping I've done, I have decided that my latest Spring trend crush is the Bomber Jacket.

What's not to love? It comes in different patterns, textures, and did I mention there are iridescent ones?!
The Bomber Jacket just radiates coolness. Whenever I see someone rocking the Bomber Jacket on the street I feel the need to stop, create an aisle for them, and bring in the fans to make their hair blow back glamorously.

So what do you say? Yay or nay?

Summer Light

Good morning! How are you all feeling? I'm starting a countdown till I go back to school!! Right now it is T -Minus 15 days! Yikes it is approaching fast.

Anyways, white on white is a huge trend for the fall, but I thought I would try it out now and see if I liked it; therefore, I could shop for this trend when I go fall/back to school shopping. Well turns out, I love white on white.  However, my shirt in this outfit isn't exactly white it is more of a light pink and cream color (but its a light color right?!).

Knee High Boots

The knee-high boot is a must have for this Fall!! Some boots on the runways even went as far as mid-thigh! I watched runway after runway on my computer and identified trends I saw (you can say I became quite the fashion critic), and the knee-high boot was one of the trends I spotted.  Don't worry though I will be reporting back more trends I spotted in the following weeks!

Besides the knee-high boot being one of the must have shoes this fall, it is also one of my very favorite essentials for ever fall! I literally have a whole rack full of boots! What can I say? I really love my boots.

My plan now is to speed over to Nordstrom and buy one (maybe more) pair of new leather knee-high boots!!

Saturday Lunch

And here are some food pictures! :)

{Top: Hollister, Shorts: American Eagle, Cardi: Nordstrom BP, Shoes: Steve Madden/DSW, Bag: Nordstrom BP}

Happy Saturday everyone! Today I went out with the family to go shopping, run some errands, and while out in the city we decided to go take a quick lunch break at an adorable little bakery! While I am shopping and running errands I like to wear shoes that are cute but also super comfy so I don't injure myself (I have had tons of injuries as it is, don't need another one).  I also am not one to carry a tote, instead I like one that I can swing over my shoulder and go.

Monthly Must Haves: June 2013

{Starting from the top left down each column:

Happy middle of the week, or otherwise known as Wednesday! Yes I am a bit late on my "Monthly Must Haves" but better late than never! I have chosen some of my favorite items from many different stores to share with you guys. These are items that I would definitely wear myself, and some of them (the ones that fit into my budget) will definitely be bought by me! For summer I love bright colors, fun prints, and something different and unique.

Babydoll Blue

{Dress: Forever 21, Cardi: Unknown, Shoes: Nordstrom Rack}

The weather has finally been warming up a bit, so I decided it would be the perfect day to wear a dress! Since Washington is a bit bipolar I'm crossing my fingers that the temperature will just keep on climbing up!

However, school is just plunging down right now.  It is almost the end of the school year and I just can't wait to get out!! Unfortunately I have to survive finals and the EOC (End of Course Exam) before I am free of school.  I hope you are all having a great day!

Dress Your Personality

First up (above) we have the Bold Glam dresses! If you are starlet at heart, and want to be in the spotlight, these dresses are definitely for you! Glamorous dresses usually are either sparkly, such as the one Serena (Blake Lively) is wears in Gossip Girl.  They can also be a bright bold color, such as the one Jessica Biel is wearing.  However, they can also be a mixture of a bold color and a loud print.

Next up are the Elegantly Patterned dresses! If you are as graceful as a swan and classy, elegant dresses are definitely your type of dress! Emma Stone proves that not all elegant dresses have to be long.  She looks absolutely stunning in a elaborate red classical dress.  Another option is a beautiful Chanel flowing gown.  It has the most exquisite look and colors.  Last but not least is the dress that the amazing Amanda Seyfried is wearing.  The Alexander McQueen gown is a classic gown that never goes out of style.

 {All images are from my Pinterest}

Finally, we have the Simply Sweet dresses! If you are into light hues such as blush pink, which is personally one of my favorites, and all things girly, then simply sweet dresses were made for you! Doesn't Hailee Steinfield just look adorable in that simple blush pink dress of her's? However, sweet dresses don't have to be only pink; as seen in the gorgeous white peplum dress. Lastly, Taylor Swift is wearing a lovely blush pink gown. Her gown is absolutely stunning. Does anyone else see a little ballerina inspiration in her gown? Or is that just me?

Dress turned Skirt

{Top: Nordstrom, Skirt/Dress: Forever 21, Flip-Flops: Old Navy, Belt: Came with another dress, Bracelet: American Eagle, Hair Band:The Finest Accessories}

How is everyone doing? When I was picking out my outfit of the day, I found this dress and thought it would be perfect.  Turns out I grew (Yay!), and the dress hit at an awkward length. Think mid-calf, yup pretty awkward right?! Even though it didn't quite fit right, I loved this dress so much I wanted to keep it. So I had the idea of turning this dress into a maxi skirt! I tucked my shirt into the stretchy band, and looped a belt on to bring out the blue in the skirt/dress. Ta da! I have myself my very own maxi skirt now!

Floral For Days

{Top: Nordstrom, Skirt: American Eagle, Shoes: Sam Edelman, Necklace: A gift}

How is everyone doing? I know I am doing fantastic! We finally got some Summer weather here in Washington, and I started to take out all my summer clothes. Plus it is time for the Starbucks Half Priced Frappuccino again, so I definitely know its time for Summer! A little side note: I base my seasons on the drinks in Starbucks ;)

As for the outfit, I wanted something easy and simple, but still cute. I decided to go with a bold bright floral skirt.  To keep the outfit clean and crisp I went with a plain white shirt on top, and topped it all off with a pocket watch inspired necklace.  Did I mention that I adore the criss-cross straps on my shoes?!

P.S. The bulge on the top of the skirt is from the bunching of my tucked in shirts that I forgot to smooth out! Sorry!

{From left to right: Lulus, Forever 21, Nordstrom, PacSun, PacSun}

Summer is just around the corner, and I for one just cannot wait! Since Summer is almost here, I have chosen my top 10 Spring dresses that I fell in love with. Not only that, but all the dresses are under $50! Now you can shop till you drop, without hurting your little wallet (too much)!  I think that my favorite of this bunch would have to be the top left dress from Lulu's. Which dress is your favorite?

Outfit of the Day: Camille

Hi everyone! Well, the sun was in Washington for a while, but now its gone! :( I really loved this outfit that my friend Camille was wearing the other day. She wore shorts and a tank top that gave off a Spring/Summer vibe, but layered a dark green military inspired jacket to keep warm during a chilly breeze. My favorite part of Spring, is not having to wear a heavy jacket all the time; however, you should always be prepared with a light jacket, just like Camille has on here! Lastly, I would like to thank my dear friend Camille for letting me use her pictures on my blog!

Balance is Key

{Top: Hollister, Skirt: Thrifted, Jacket: Nordstrom Rack, Oxfords: Nordstrom Rack}

Hi everyone! The first picture is a touch dark because when I took it the clouds were still hovering in the sky, so sorry about that! Today I had a mini-presentation at school, and decided I would dress up a little. I picked a tailored white button down top, and decided to try a little print, so I threw on the tribal pattern inspired skirt. Since, I don't have to the presentation every class period, I kept it casual with some oxfords and a light jean jacket. Have a great weekend!

P.S. I styled the same oxfords in a different way in one of my previous blog posts if you want to check that out:

Fashion Flashback: Overalls

{From left to right: Phillip Lim, Ralph Lauren, Phillip Lim}

Do you remember wearing overalls every day? I sure do! I called it the "Overall Age." Luckily, I enjoyed wearing them, and I still do. Good news for those who, like me, like overalls; they are back! For those of you who don't like overalls, I am sorry but they are here to stay. I am totally in love with the ones seen on Phillip Lim, and Ralph Lauren runways, but I unfortunately do not have the money for that (yet!). Even though I really am digging the overall comeback, I really love the look of the short overalls! Here are some of my picks for short and long overalls:

Essential Accessories

{Bag: Nordstrom/Lulu, Necklace: Gifted, Watch: Gucci, Nail Polish: Essie in Avenue Maintain, Ponies: L. Erickson}

Hi everyone! Did you see the new "Pin it" icon when you hover over a picture? Do you like it? Today is my last day of Spring break (not including the weekend) which makes me sad.  Spring break really flew by this year!

These are my essentials, that I use A LOT! I am currently obsessed with anything bright, as you might already know. I like to keep my most use items versatile, and bold.  Since it is Spring (it doesn't seem like it according to all the rain) I tie my hair back most of the time to show off my statement necklaces. My watch was originally my mom's, but she gave it to me! I love having a bright color on my nails. It is a good way to add a pop of color into your outfit.  Lastly, I really like the quilting on my bag, and it is the perfect size for shopping with my friends.

Statement Sunnies

{Starting from the top right: Nordstrom, Urban OG, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21}

One of my favorite Summer/Spring staples are sunglasses! I always buy a new pair every summer, and I have started quite the collection now. I mean whats not to like, they keep your eyes protected and keep you looking effortlessly chic. On the 2013 Spring/Summer runways, the sunglasses were bold, bright, and unique. Statement sunglasses are all the rage. If you want to be bold pick one in a cool shape, and bright color! If you aren't quite ready for that, there are still tons to choose from such as, a bright color but in a classic shape, or a cool shape in a classic black.  There are so many options, I might end up with way to many sunglasses this year!

Seeing Green

This year's color of the year: Emerald Green! No wonder we've been seeing green everywhere. Its green in spring, summer, and fall.  For spring/summer the greens are brighter, such as the top right picture.  In the fall the shade becomes a darker green, such as the bottom right picture. No matter what shade, its for sure that green is the color to wear!
