Summer Staple

In the summer no one really wants to pull on some jeans, but at one point you run out of shorts to wear... so what do you wear instead? Dresses! I love dresses, they are my summer staple and I reach for them practically every weekend.  I know I always say this, but they are just so easy.  You get a whole outfit without having to pair things together.  So for me, dresses are a lazy girl's best-friend,  Plus there are so many different cuts that you are bound to find one that fits you perfectly,
The t-shirt dress is perfect for casual days where you want to be comfy but still look put together.  T-shirt dresses are usually quite simple, so you can accessorize at your own whim.
I just wanted to remind you guys that Nordstrom is having their yearly anniversary sale in 3 days!! Keep a lookout for a anniversary sale guide next week, I will be posting my picks for the fall.

Denim on Denim

Happy Easter everyone! I am trying out a new formatting on the blog, by posting one picture then writing, let me know how you guys like it! Recently I have been LOVING this pair of jeans.  They are so comfortable, and easy to style.  I have been reaching for them everyday that I have been running late... which pretty much means everyday :P

I found this new gorgeous spot for pictures while driving near my house!  I was taken by surprise because it is so close to my house, yet I had never seen it! My sister and I took the quick trip down to this no-longer in service railroad to take these pictures.  Yeah I know what you guys are thinking and it is very senior picturey, but I couldn't resist! I love how the light hits and just how whimsical it looks.

The denim on denim look- also often called the Canadian Tuxedo- is one of my favorite looks because it looks so effortlessly fashionable.  All you need is a pair of jeans and either a denim shirt or denim jacket.  Some people are totally against the denim on denim look but I personally love it! Ever since breaking this fashion rule has been "okay" I have started to  experiment more with the different types of denim and which washes look the best together.  I have found that one of the easiest ways to wear denim on denim, without looking like the infamous photo of denim gone wrong on Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake (here is the picture if you haven't seen it), is to mix up the washes of the denim.  For example, you could do a dark-think black- wash jeans and pair it with a light denim jacket, or denim shirt on top.  Also you could vary the weight and feel of the different denim pieces.  For example you could pair a distressed pair of jeans with a thicker, more structured denim top.

Fall Sickness

{Top: American Eagle, Skirt: F21, Shoes: Nordstrom, Bag: Mom's Closet, Scarf: Nordstrom BP}

Happy Sunday afternoon ladies! For all the Washingtonians out there reading this, who else is missing their scarves and boots?! I am!! Lately in Seattle the weather has still been warm and nice out, resembling Spring like weather.

This outfit is my way of breaking out my sweater, scarf, and boots without overheating under the sun. Baring some legs help to keep cool, as does the wide knitted sweater.  I love how this look has a fall vibe to it with the color palette, but still works in the barely cold days.

This outfit is also very easy to recreate for those of you who love it as much as I do!

What do you think? Comment down below your thoughts!

Looking through endless Pinterest boards of street style and reading street style blogs everyday can really influence how you dress.  Take it from me.  Aside from just being trendy, street style is about being a little unexpected, showing a little personality, and looking a whole lot cool.  You know what I mean, the girls and guys who walk down the streets looking like they own them... and they definitely could with that outfit!

Well whatever or whoever inspires you, make sure you love the way you look!

Trending for Fall: Turtlenecks

{All images from Google Images}

Turtlenecks. What more is there to say? I mean they are cozy, warm, and chunky enough to hide the extra pounds from the buttery fall foods. As someone who always wraps on a scarf to brave the cold,
the turtleneck trend is definitely on point for me. But besides the obvious practical reasons, the turtleneck is a must have this fall for its versatility. You can pair it with a skirt, pants, jeans, even layer a dress on top. I for one love the turtleneck. What do you think? Do you love it or leave it?

Love the turtleneck trend? Check out the options divided by price down below!

Amazon- $24.99, Aritzia- $165, Acne- $300, La Garconne- $450, Brunello Cucinelli- $2,685

Can't Miss The Florals

{Shirt: Train Station in Rome, Shorts: Thrifted, Denim Vest: Forever 21, Sunglasses: American Eagle}

If you have probably noticed, I don't exactly wear floral all that much. And if you looked in my closet, you probably would see two fully floral items...including this pair of shorts. Mostly my closet consists of stripes, grey, black, white, cream, and navy. Yeah its a little colorless. But after spotting these shorts at my local thrift store, I knew I had to have them and the colorful inspiration they gave me.

So will I be shopping for more colorful items? Maybe, if they all look as great as these shorts.

Do you like floral? Let me know what you think about the popular pattern in the comments below!

Weekend Outfit Hangover

{Top: Target, Shorts: Abercrombie, Sunglasses: Old Navy, Bag: Mom's closet}

How was everyone's 4th of July weekend? Mine was packed with delicious foods and lots of fun. I ended up breaking out the old school board games and Mario Kart with the ancient game cube controllers.  I know, ancient right?! Since the weekend was filled with so many "ancient" activities I decided to pair the all-american tee and denim shorts look with a vintage Louis Vuitton bag that belonged to my mother who gave it to moi.

I was definitely still in the mood for July 4th when I picked this outfit, judging from the amount of red I have on (pretty much all the red I have in my closet).

Fact: The picture of me playing on my phone is what I look like 99.9% of the time.
